After recent comments by Gene Simmons about Ace Frehley‘s ability to perform more than a song or two on KISS‘ upcoming “End of the Road” tour, Frehley has shot back. He referred to the bassist as an “asshole and a sex addict,” while also accusing him of groping his wife last year.

“Ace and Peter [Criss] have gotten three chances,” Simmons said in a new Guitar World interview. “They were in and out of the band – fired – three times. For drugs, alcohol, bad behavior, being unprofessional … they weren’t carrying their load. … So the short answer to your question is we’d love to have Ace and Peter join us here and there. And if they don’t, it’s not going to be because of us. But they’re never going to be in Kiss again. … Would we welcome Ace or Peter to jump up onstage for a song or two? Of course. Could we depend on either Ace of Peter to do a full set night after night? Not on your fucking life.”

Hitting social media, Frehley commented that he wasn’t fired three times, but that he quit twice because Simmons and Paul Stanley are “control freaks, untrustworthy and were too difficult to work with!” Frehley also stated that Simmons’ repeated “slanderous” references to his substance abuse issues have “cost me millions of dollars and now that I’m over 12 years sober you’re still saying I can’t be trusted to play a whole nights show!”

Frehley then really unleashed on the pair. “I’ve tried to be nice and friendly by inviting you and Paul to perform on my past albums for eOne Music,” he continued, “give each of you guys one of my prized Gibson Les Paul ’59 models, but today’s comments have made me realize you’re just an asshole and a sex addict who’s being sued by multiple women, and you’re just trying to sweep it all under the carpet!”

“The icing on the cake was when you groped my wife and propositioned her in Los Angeles at the Capitol Records building behind my back, when I was trying to help you out at one of your ‘Vault Experiences‘ which I only found out about several weeks later,” revealed Frehley. “She was planning on pursuing a suit against you, but I told her to call it off!!!”

The guitarist ended his post by demanding a “complete and heartfelt apology, an offer to give me my old job back, and removing Tommy [Thayer] from the throne that I created.”

The verbal war between Ace Frehley and KISS just took another bizarre turn. In a public Facebook post, Ace’s partner Rachael Gordon says KISS “tried to have Ace killed in the ‘70s” by sending him to a fake private party in the Bahamas.

During an interview, where Gene Simmons welcomed Ace Frehley and Peter Criss to participate in KISS’ farewell tour, Gene said the two musicians will never be full-time members of KISS again. “Could we depend on either Ace of Peter to do a full set night after night? Not on your fucking life,” Simmons claimed.

Frehley retaliated with, “You’re just an asshole and a sex addict who’s being sued by multiple women, and you’re just trying to sweep it all under the carpet! The icing on the cake was when you groped my wife and propositioned her in Los Angeles at the Capitol Records building behind my back … She was planning on pursuing a suit against you, but I told her to call it off!!!”

Responding to a friend on Facebook about the recent KISS drama, Rachael Gordon wrote:

Let me tell you.
They tried to have Ace killed in the 70’s. Tried sending him to a so called ‘private party’ in the Bahamas.

Ace is VERY sober now and knows what’s happening.
He sees things clearly now.
He doesn’t need a chain of low brow restaurants; he plays the guitar. That’s what he does.

FUCK THEM.

No response has yet been given from the KISS camp. Though Frehley refers to Gordon as his “wife,” the guitarist revealed he’s still legally married to his first wife, Jeanette Trerotola, in a 2018 interview.

“I’m still legally married to my first wife and her health hasn’t been that good. I’m not in a position to force a divorce on her so I can marry Rachael but that’s going to happen down the road,” Frehley told Michael Cavacini.

Godsmack celebrate the NFL playoffs in When Legends Rise video

Godsmack

Godsmack released a new video over the weekend for When Legends Rise – the title track from their 2018 album.

The band worked with the NFL for the promo, and it was launched to mark the Divisional Round of the American Football playoffs which took place last night.

The video features clips from the field along with footage of the band’s live shows.

A statement from Godsmack reads: “Sully Erna has been working hard over the last three months with the NFL to deliver this amazing video to you.

“We also want to give an extended thank you as we celebrate When Legends Rise staying at no.1 for five consecutive weeks in a row on Billboard’s Rock Charts, and three weeks in a row on Mediabase.”

The video was directed by vocalist Erna in conjunction with Paris Visone Photography.

Godsmack will embark on their rescheduled European tour from next month, which kicks off with three shows in England.

The band were forced to scrap the original dates, which were scheduled to take place at the end of 2018, due to the unexpected death of guitarist Tony Rombola’s son, Joe Fay.
