It was revealed recently by New Brookland Tavern owner Mike Lyons that the long-time West Columbia venue’s building is being offered for sale. The venue has been a home for both smaller local and bigger underground artists throughout its history. Despite being two hours away in Lexington County, many Lowcountry natives have fond memories over the years of enjoying live music, discovering new artists they love, and making lifelong friends.
A fundraising effort has begun to support the New Brookland Tavern’s next steps in securing its future–buying the building or making a new home.
